Rebecca “Becky” Payne

Becky is a plaintiff’s civil trial attorney with an emphasis on personal and catastrophic injury cases, including medical malpractice, car accidents, and mass tort cases. Becky was raised in Rabun County, Georgia and received her undergraduate degree cum laude from Mercer University. Upon graduation, she attended Georgia State University College of Law where she graduated with highest pro bono distinction. Prior to joining Cathey & Strain, Becky clerked for Ragland & Jones, LLP, a firm specializing in medical malpractice and nursing home cases, in Atlanta, Georgia for two years.  She also spent her summers interning with the Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office where she was actively involved in several high profile criminal cases.
