Attorney Referrals

For 40 years, Cathey & Strain has worked extensively with lawyers throughout the country who have referred cases to our firm.  We maintain a network of referring attorneys and we protect all ethical referral fees with lawyers who have referred cases to us.  We are willing to consider a variety of arrangements and often the referring lawyer works directly with our office in developing and litigating the case.  Sometimes we have been retained simply to try the case once the referring lawyer has completely prepared it for trial.  On other occasions, we have joined with another lawyer or law firm to try part of the case which deals with an area in which we have specialized knowledge.

Our referral fees are negotiated on a case-by-case basis with the referring law firm and can vary widely depending on the working relationship and division of responsibilities. We are willing to be as diverse and creative as necessary to get the desired results for our clients.
